Requirements and Eligibility
Specialties Required
The Children’s Trust is seeking to recruit Paediatric Registered Nurses to join their international recruits
already at the Trust, and to become part of their dedicated and passionate nursing team.
Minimum Criteria
⚫ Nursing Degree*
⚫ Current nursing license*
⚫ Minimum 6 months registered practice*
⚫ No more than 12 months out of practice
English Language Proficiency – Eligibility Requirements for NMC application
Please check here to confirm whether the country in which you qualified as a nurse is included in the
list of “majority English-speaking countries” as prescribed by the NMC.
If you trained in a country that is NOT on this list, then you will need to pass one of the following English
language tests as part of your UK registration application:
⚫ Academic IELTS pass with minimum score of 7.0 in Reading, Speaking & Listening and no less
than 6.5 in Writing
OR
⚫ OET pass at Grade B in Reading, Speaking & Listening and no less than C+ in Writing
NB: If you did not train in a recognised majority-English speaking country, but have lived and
worked in one for the past 12 months or more, there may be other ways to prove your English
language proficiency. We will discuss and advise you accordingly
