Shopping
Oxford Street is a major road in the West End of London.
It is Europe's busiest shopping street, with around half a million daily visitors,
and as of 2012 had approximately 300 shops and boutiques.
It is home to many of the UK’s prestigious flagship stores including Selfridges,
John Lewis and HMV.
Tower of London and Crown Jewels
The Tower of London, is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River
Thames in central London.
It is home to the Crown Jewels, which comprises of 142 historical ceremonial
objects. The collection is made up of crowns, sceptres, orbs, swords and robes,
as well as many other priceless objects.
The West End
The West End is an area of Central London containing many of the city's major
tourist attractions, shops, businesses, and entertainment venues, including the
West End theatres.
West End theatres are considered to represent the highest level of commercial
theatre in the English-speaking world. Seeing a West End show is a popular
tourist activity.
Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is the world's largest collection of living plants. Founded in 1840,
from the exotic garden at Kew Park in the London Borough of Richmond upon
Thames, UK, its living collections include more than 30,000 different kinds of
plants, while the herbarium, which is one of the largest in the world, has over
seven million preserved plant specimens.
