THE DORMIE NETWORK FOUNDATION TEAM
SHARES THEIR FAVORITE NONPROFITS
Brian Schenk
Chief Philanthropy Officer
I have had the privilege of working for and supporting many fantastic
nonprofit organizations, and one that holds a special place in my heart
is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. My oldest brother was
diagnosed T1D at a very early age, and his struggles burned a lasting
impression in my mind. I want to do what I can to help irradicate Type 1
Diabetes, so that children and young adults will not have to undergo what
he had to. I serve locally on the JDRF Board of Directors for Nebraska
and Iowa and continue to try to raise critical funds and awareness for this
great organization.
Michael Hewitt
Director of Philanthropy
One of my personal favorite NPOs we support is Children’s Mercy
Kansas City. A dear friend of mine who lives in Kansas City has a
son who’s had a couple scares within the last year, and the care and
attention that they’ve received will forever hold a special place in my
heart. Being even a small part of Children’s Mercy KC’s fundraising
efforts is incredibly rewarding. As a parent, there’s nothing we won’t
do to ensure our children have the support they need to get better.
Every child deserves this level of attention, and I am eager to support
organizations with this passion for care.
Ben Parker
Director of Philanthropy
I enjoy working with Children’s Health Foundation, which raises critical
funds for the children’s hospital in Oklahoma. We have supported over
a dozen local fundraising events that benefit the hospital directly, and
these timely funds make a difference in the lives of children and their
families. I love that DNF supports the doctors, nurses, technicians, and
other specialists who provide 24/7 protection to sick and injured children
no matter the illness or injury, especially in Oklahoma. I can smile knowing
our efforts to provide pure fundraising, with 100% of the donation going
where and to who it matters most, is changing lives.
