When he joined the restaurant,he put himself through the Chef de Partieapprenticeship and went on to becomehead chef.He said: “Building a young team through DCGmeans we can all develop together. By takingon apprentices moving through Levels 2 and3, there is continuity and it allows staff to buildtheir careers in one place.”HITTING A PERSONAL BESTDerby Arena wellbeing adviser LyndseyMcLaughlin jumped at the chance to take aPersonal Training Apprenticeship via DCG.Lyndsey was keen to further her knowledgeafter working at the council-run gym foreight years.She said: “I liked the practical side where I put ona class and showed the assessors what I know.My apprenticeship experience has encouragedmy colleagues to take extra quali昀椀cations.”
