1 • GT Battery Isolator
The GT Battery Isolator is suitable for almost all race and rally car
applications. Incorporating 600A battery isolation and fully protected
40A power output for connection to ECU, ignition or fuel system.

They do this by firstly disconnecting power to the ECU or
Ignition circuit - forcing the engine to stop and electrical
power generation by the alternator/generator to cease.
Then secondly, the Battery Isolator disconnects the
negative side of the vehicle’s battery from chassis/
ground, thereby disconnecting the battery from ALL of
the car’s electrical systems.
Load dump protection is built in so no additional
components are needed.

Designed to be a ‘cost effective’ version of Cartek’s Battery Isolators.
This device is suitable for cars of medium tune/performance and
engines up to 3.0L V6, turbo or NA. Ideal for one-make championships with stock-based engines, e.g. Audi TT Cup, Type R Trophy,
MX5/Eunos Championships, Clio Cup, Mini Challenge etc. Engine
Kill signal is a fully protected 10A power output for connection to

9 • Power Distribution Panel
from
The CARTEK Power Distribution Panel is a fully integrated, fully electronic
solution to power distribution in race and rally cars. Designed to replace 8/16
fuses, relays and switches as well as a variety of control systems, these units
therefore greatly simplify the wiring, reducing build time, saving weight and
maximising reliability. Cartek have now also produced a retro edition Power
Distribution Panel for classic cars that want modern electronics.

How It Works:
The Power Distribution Panel takes +12V power directly from the battery then
distributes this to all the electrical systems around the car. All 8/16 power
outputs from the Power Distribution Panel are controlled from the front panel
push buttons or from external switches and inputs. All power outputs are fully
protected with 6 selectable current settings thereby completely removing
the need for fuses or circuit breakers. The function of each channel is also
selectable from a choice of 8 different options.
