FEV Fire Suppression are a UK based manufacturer of high quality fire suppression systems and products for the motorsport
industry. Established in 1990, and with over 30 years of expertise in developing market leading products, they are proud to supply
all levels of motorsport across the world.
Right from the start FEV have led the way in fire safety technology, being the first company to develop a Halon alternative gas fire
suppression system, which was soon launched into the world of Formula 1. The comprehensive range of products are designed
and developed using the very best advancements in technology ensuring performance, weight and space saving requirements are
exceeded.
All FEV systems are homologated to FIA Technical Lists 16, 52 or 97 and surpass test requirements carried out by the British
Standards Institute for Motorsport UK and the FIA, you can be confident as a competitor or team across the world of Motorsport
that you are using the highest quality fire suppression systems available.
F-TEC SERIES FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
F-TEC stands for Foam Technology. All of these systems use the latest freeze
protected firefighting foam which offers rapid fire extinguishment and re-ignition
resistance, it is also effective on class B hydrocarbon flammable liquids fires such
as fuel, diesel, oil, petrol, gasoline, kerosene, LNG. The F-TEC range in 3.5ltr
capacity is available in both mechanical pull cable activation and electric push
button activation.
All variants are FIA approved to Technical list 16 for both circuit and rally racing
National and International.

International motorsport where a system to FIA’s Technical List 16 is required. Also available is
an option for a steel or aluminium bottle giving further choice for budget and weight advantages.

CF-TEC SERIES FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
2025 see’s the launch of FEV’s new CF-TEC range, using the latest development in firefighting technology. Coldfire is an environmentally friendly, plant-based fire
suppression agent. It gets its name from its extraordinary ability to remove extreme heat from any object it comes into contact with and offers a non-toxic,
non-corrosive and biodegradable solution for fire suppression.
With the highest levels of safety and practicality in mind, FEV’s leading development programme has utilised Coldfire technology in both the cockpit and engine of
these systems, leading to the safest systems available for the occupants of the vehicles on the market.
The all-new CF-TEC range has been developed including systems homologated to FIA Standard 8865 and the new FIA Standard 8876 for open cockpit vehicles.
The 8865 options are available in both electrical and mechanical activation. As part of this, FEV now have the only mechanical system and most cost-effective system
available on the market to achieve the high level of safety required to meet this standard.
The CF-TEC range has been developed for ease of installation and small packaging requirements and is suitable for all types of petroleum based fuels, including
fuels containing up to 85% ethanol.

4 • NEW CF-TEC 8876 Series
The all-new CF-TEC2000EK is the fire suppression system chosen for use in the
Formula 2 series from the 2024 season. The system has been developed and
engineered to meet the tight packaging and weight constraints of open-cockpit
single-seater vehicles. These systems use FEV’s innovative space and weight saving
nozzles to efficiently disperse the fire suppression agent to rapidly extinguish flames
