2 • Talon Endurance Solid State Digital Control System

This latest version of the Raptor is the best yet and includes many
improved features which come as the result of an extensive research
and development program. The Raptor GP is an 8 channel steering wheel
panel which features wireless RF controls removing the need for coiled
cables. Suitable for both race cars and IVA compliant for road cars and kit
cars. Raptor fits to aftermarket steering wheels with a 6 x 70mm bolt pattern
and a minimum diameter of 300mm. This means it will fit most wheels
manufactured by Momo, Sparco, OMP and many more.

The Raptor has been designed to be fully user configurable and each of the
buttons can be set to perform as either a Momentary, Latching or Flashing
action. This gives the flexibility to use the Raptor to control pretty much
anything in the car including Lighting, Horn, Lap timers, Traction Control,
Launch Control, Wipers, Fans, Radio Communication and much more. 56

Clubman receiver has 10 amp unloaded Mechanical Relays on each channel.

The Talon Endurance solid state digital

features a graphic layout and matching
decals with a backlit panel that allows
the buttons to be clearly seen in
any lighting conditions. The revised
internal circuitry allows the panel to
be illuminated indefinitely, without

Each Talon Endurance is supplied with
a set of 90 individual photo luminescent
switch decals, allowing you to position
and logically group activities together.
By accessing the panel on the rear, you
can select the type of action you want
each button to perform:
Each of the switch’s outputs a 12 volt
250 milliamp live on its corresponding
wire, so you can hook up vehicle
electrics on each switch, or for
switching larger loads just use the
output to trigger a larger relay. Once
power is applied, the Talons power
button pulses its LED, waiting for you to
start the system. All that’s required is to
hold the power button for 2 seconds to
start it up. The same applies to shutting
the system down. Just hold the power
button for 2 seconds and the system immediately shuts down, reverting all switches to the OFF state.
A dedicated input can automatically dim the Talon’s LED’s (both the sequential shift lights and the button LED’s), when
it senses 12 volts from your vehicle side lights. This is a great feature that will be really useful at night,
as the Talon’s LED’s are very bright for day time use. You can also take a switch output from any of the 15 available
buttons, and loop back into this connection to control the dimming directly from the front panel if needed.
The switch panel incorporates a 16 segment digital LED sequential shift light, that’s self-powered and accepts a signal
from your ECU or ignition coil. Alternatively, or should you not want to use the Talon’s own shift lights, setting the
‘Alarm Mode’ override to ON, the shift lights will flash with an audible tone should any voltage be received down the
RPM signal wire. This is great for example if you wanted a handy low fuel alarm or oil pressure warning.
3 • Hawk Dashboard Display Unit
This dashboard display unit provides a critical set of warning symbols into
a single integrated display, the compact dashboard display unit instantly shows the status of key items (indicators left and right, oil pressure,
brake fluid level, main beam and ignition) to the driver. Each powerful LED
provides a specific colour in accordance with UK IVA regulations, and with
only 6 dedicated wires to connect, installation is simple. With the front panel
measuring just W85mm x H15mm, it’s compact design ensures that a correct
and suitable installation position can be found.

to connect an in-car video camera or smart phone whilst out on track.
The main body of the Talon Endurance is machined from a single piece of extruded aluminium, then glass beadblasted and anodiseg to achieve a beautiful and smooth rust proof finish.
Measuring only 140 by 140mm and just 40mm deep, it’s perfectly sized to accommodate use from even the largest
of race gloved hands. Connections are made using a single self-locking power block located on the rear of the unit,
making for a safer and tidier installation.
Specifically designed to use the VESA 100 mounting standard,
the Talon Endurance can be mounted in a variety of different positions.

4 • Venom Intelligent Indicator Module
The Intelligent Indicator Module from Summit Technologies is designed to take the hassle and complexity out of the
indicator wiring system. Although it has been designed to be integrated with the Raptor or Talon systems, it is also
capable of being installed as a standalone system.

Suitable for use with both 12v LED and Incandescent indicator bulbs, the module allows for multiple types of
operation, all driven by momentary button presses. This removes the need for button latching. Both individual flashing
operations for left or right-hand indicators as well as a combined hazard flash type are catered for, the timing, of
which, is fully IVA compliant at 2 cycles per second.
