With the recent introduction of the latest FIA 8855-2021
approval, OMP has a range of seats that meet these extremely
high safety specifications. The approval brings the older FIA
8855-1999, which has been in place for the past 20+ years, up
to a very similar standard to the very highest FIA 8862-2009
approval. The latest FIA 8855-2021 approval has an increased
level of safety and strength from the shell which is now
capable of withstanding high-speed impacts of up to 42G, but
at a fraction of the cost of the higher FIA 8862-2009 approval,
making it more affordable for the entry level teams and drivers.
All FIA 8855-2021 approved seats are approved with specific
mounts and come with a 10 year life. The Specific mounts must
be used to meet the FIA 8855-2021 approval.

This recently developed competition seat is approved to the very latest FIA 8855-2021 approval.
Inspired by the multi World Championship winning OMP HTE One seat. With a 10-year life and
meeting the extremely demanding safety tests, the seat offers great weight saving and a super
strong fibreglass shell being able to withstand side impacts up to 42g. The back, base and leg
cushions are all removable to facilitate cleaning and are trimmed in a breathable 3D Airnet fabric
to help reduce perspiration. A grip enhancing dotted fabric is used on the shoulder area to help
reduce upper body movement. The seat is compatible with FHR / HANS® and Hybrid devices and
is side mounted. Specific mounts must be used for FIA approval and the correct mounts can be
found below.

great weight saving and a super strong fibreglass shell being able to withstand side impacts up
to 42g. The integral head and shoulder containment has been designed to be more compact, this
allows for fitment in GT cars with limited cockpit space, without sacrificing comfort and maintaining
the optimum seating position. The back, base and leg cushions are all removeable to facilitate
cleaning and are trimmed in a breathable 3D Airnet fabric to help reduce perspiration. A grip
enhancing dotted fabric is used on the shoulder area to help reduce upper body movement. The
seat is compatible with FHR / HANS® and Hybrid devices and is side mounted. Specific mounts must
be used for FIA approval and the correct mounts can be found below.
