have developed an enormous multisystemic structure and division of
powers (politics, law, business, science, media, but also family, education, health care, religion, military), which we must try to grasp better
and shape in a more considered way.
Over the years, Heidelberg theology has made internationally influential contributions to this understanding and has upheld the orientation potential of Christian theology and religion. The great appeal of
the city of Heidelberg, its university, and the many people working in
the city and at the university have contributed wonderfully to most of
these efforts.
