Audits Working Group
Our audits team are responsible for managing external audit requests, we do this through
an extensive audit dashboard that is continually updated and links over 1400 questions to
live data and current documents.
These requests commonly come from customers, where our preferred approach is to
engage in meaningful conversations to understand their own priorities and roadmaps.
Work ranges from conversations around shared values to extensive written self-assessment
audits and in person multiday audits by independent third parties.
Accreditation and certification team (AAC)
Our AAC team are responsible for evaluating accreditation and certification related to
products and processes, alongside supply chain transparency.
Supply chain mapping and transparency
We offer our customers access to a wide range of stocked yarns in a diverse range of fibres,
which often come from multiple global suppliers. We follow a rigorous due diligence
process when we introduce a supplier. They must commit to uphold and adhere to our
supplier code of conduct. Where appropriate we undertake regular audits and site visits.
• During 2021 and 2022 we have been mapping our supply chain to achieve full
transparency of the companies and organizations within our supply chain, to tiers 2
and 3 within the framework.
• In 2021 we completed a traceability audit of our yarn and raw material suppliers, the
results of which now form the basis of our continuous improvement activity.
• Our 2022 traceability audit also collects details of process and product certification in
our value chain, such as; Oeko-Tex, GOTS (Global organic textile standard), Textile
Exchange Standards, Organic and recycled materials.
Our investigations are designed to highlight any breaches or risk indicators in terms of
human rights and working conditions. We are happy to engage in transparency of these
findings with our customers through preferred face-to-face visits and audit processes.
