X-LINE ‘COMEBACK OF THE YEAR’ RELAUNCH OF A DESIGN ICON
Since the X-Line chair first saw the light of day in 1977, it has enjoyed recognition
amongst design enthusiasts, and the chair is now back with a design update.
In recent years, the design darling X-Line has been increasingly used in a number of
interiors around the world, and in 2022 Magnus Olesen relaunched the chair in its original
chrome variant as well as in four contemporary colors – white, brown, blue and black.
The lacquered versions are suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use – in line with
nowadays interiors where furniture moves freely between outdoor and indoor. X-Line tells a
different story about how classic Danish furniture design can look, and this was recognized
with the award ’COMEBACK OF THE YEAR’ at DESIGN AWARDS 2022 - awarded by
Bo Bedre, Boligmagasinet and Scandinavian Living.
