Income statement
Total contributions amounted to DKK 11.7 bn.,
which is DKK 0.1 bn. less than in 2022. The
development partly comprises a decline in
transfers from other pension companies, which
is offset by an increase in ongoing contributions.
After transfers of contributions to sickness and
accident insurance, and after withholding
income tax (A tax) and labour-market
contributions, net contributions amounted to
DKK 9.1 bn.
Total investment returns ended at DKK 12.4 bn.
after costs, compared with DKK -15.0 bn. in
2022. This corresponds to a total return on
investment assets of 5.7% in 2023 (-6.5% in
2022). Over the past 10 years, the average
return after costs has amounted to 6.4% per
annum.
Insurance benefits amounted to DKK 8.9 bn., of
which DKK 0.8 bn. is regarding payments for
sickness and accident insurance claims.
Administration costs for life-assurance activities
remained at a low level at DKK 132 million. The
“Costs per member” key ratio amounted to DKK
262, which is higher than last year (DKK 239),
when the figure was particularly low due to a
large VAT refund. Costs of sickness and
accident insurance were DKK 59 per member
(DKK 54 in 2022).
