try Paris. The cost of the Paris trip was
$3,800, which didn’t include airfare or
lodging.
Bordas says there will be future trips,
but they want to keep it “personal and
intimate,” with no more than 10 guests
next year. They will return to Paris in 2025
but the duo may branch out to other
cities in Europe, the U.S. or elsewhere.
Sugar Cookies isn’t the only retailer to
host a Paris trip for its customers. Sol,
a boutique in Denver founded by sisters
Cindy Johnson and Jeanie Peterson, also
brought a group of customers to the City
of Lights in January during lingerie week.
Susanne Alvarado, founder of Sugar
Cookies, teamed up with Stephanie
Bordas of Brooklyn Boudoir, creator
of modern, sexy and fun portraiture,
to create a trip of a lifetime.
Some 30 of the store’s Sol Girls and the
sta昀昀 stopped at the Ei昀昀el Tower for a
souvenir photo before indulging in a
seven-course, wine-paired meal atop
the legendary Tower at Le Jules Verne
restaurant. The evening ended with a
personal visit with Josie Natori at her Paris
apartment, where the designer curated
some of her favorite pieces for guests to
sample and shop. Natori also treated her
guests to a piano performance, which Sol
describes on its website as a “pinch me
moment for sure.”
On day two, the group visited the Louvre
for a private masterpiece tour followed
by a cruise on the Seine, where they
indulged in a dance party on the upper
deck and a fashion show where athletes
donned some of the store’s favorite
lingerie pieces.
