National Geographic photographer and
Everglades Foundation Board Member Mac
Stone presents new Everglades images shot
on assignment for his latest book in a special
presentation planned at 4:30 p.m. on April 9,
2025, at the Cultural Center at Ocean Reef.
Everglades Foundation Chief Executive
Officer Eric Eikenberg and Chief Science
Officer Dr. Steve Davis will join Stone for
a progress report on restoring America’s
Everglades – the largest environmental
restoration project in the world.
Stone will share his images of elusive Florida
panthers, the feeding behavior of bottlenose
dolphins unique to Florida Bay, and other
rare scenes from the watershed that The
Everglades Foundation recently published
in a limited-edition book for significant
supporters of its first endowment campaign,
created to ensure perpetual protection of the
Everglades.

The presentation will be hosted by the Ocean
Reef Conservation Association and the
Cultural Center at Ocean Reef. Northern Trust
is sponsoring the event, which will be followed
by a wine and cheese reception.
