underserved in our communities.
This includes our pro bono program
in partnership with Taproot, through
which 34 of our employees provided
$225,000 of in-kind support to eight
nonprofit organizations.
CSAA proudly matches its employees’
sweat equity with financial support
through our Dollars for Doers
program, which gives employees
$10 to donate for every eligible hour
volunteered. To encourage additional
engagement, CSAA increased its
volunteer rewards from up to $600
per employee to up to $1,000 per
employee. We also provided double
rewards during campaigns and
specifically aligned volunteer events.
These events included quarterly days
of service and large in-person events
where more than 100,000 meals
were packed and delivered to local
nonprofit partners.
For employee giving programs,
we match charitable donations of
employees and Board members to
support eligible nonprofits they care
Social
Governance
about, matching donations dollarfor-dollar up to $1,000 per employee
and $2,500 per Board member
each calendar year, and, for our
employees who serve on a nonprofit
organization’s board of directors,
we also provide an annual grant of
$1,000 to such organizations. We also
implemented new campaigns for our
vetted and aligned nonprofit partners,
providing a 2:1 match year-round and
a 3:1 matching campaign twice in
2022, increasing our individual cap to
$3,000 per employee annually.
Twenty-five percent of our employees
participated in our employee giving
programs to direct more than
$525,000 to causes they are
passionate about. Total 2022
donations made by CSAA on behalf
of our employees through these
programs was $332,000, in addition
to the $193,000 of out-of-pocket
employee donations. We are especially
proud to report a year-over-year
increase of $78,000 directly to our
nonprofit grantees through multiple
3:1 matching campaigns.
Finally, we created a Community
Impact Council made up of leaders
throughout the organization to
facilitate collaboration and embed
Total Social Impact into all areas of
our business. This council provides
an environment and avenue for
our leaders to cross-functionally
collaborate on initiatives by assessing
internal structures and policies
to deepen our impact as a corporate
citizen. Our pillars and focus
areas include:
• Investments
• Tax
• Sustainability
• Sourcing
• Governance
• Policy
• Customer Engagement
