From Our CEO
We continued our focus on building
a culture and workforce committed to
supporting inclusivity and promoting
equity across the organization.
In support of this, the Inclusive
Collective launched in March 2022
to connect diversity, equity and
inclusion activities into a broader
business-driven, results-oriented
strategy. Moving forward, this single,
combined entity will help ensure
proactive, effective and consistent
communications and messaging.

Focus on Inclusivity
Learning is essential to our
advancement and development.
As part of our professional

Environmental
development program, we also
launched the Inclusion and Belonging
Learning Paths, focused on
addressing topics of Intersectional
Approach, Accessibility, and Inclusive
Leadership. Each learning path is
open to all CSAA employees, with
Inclusive Leadership targeted toward
people leaders. There are four to
five sessions for each learning path
that delve deep into topics such
as Advancing Equity at CSAA IG,
Creating Inclusive Spaces, and
Disability Etiquette.
In February 2022, we hosted a
chat with organization leaders to
share the status of the equity review
where we studied the inclusion
experience across differences at
CSAA, and examined the systems
and policies that could lead to
gaps in providing an equitable
workplace. Leaders shared plans
to move forward with prioritizing
the recommendations–focused
on Talent Processes, Employee
Development, Policy Modernization,
Culture & Communication, Education
& Awareness and Accountability
& Sustainability–for execution in
2022/2023.
Our biennial Inclusion Summit took
place March 8-10, 2022, when nearly
200 people came together virtually
to celebrate inclusion and learn more
about continuing to advance equity
through guest speakers, internal
panel discussions and networking.
The theme was “Reflect. Connect.
Act.” and included three half-day
sessions for CSAA executives and
representatives from employee culture
groups, in addition to external guests.
We also completed our second
successful Accelerator cohort. The
Accelerator program is focused on
bringing diverse voices to the table.
It has proven to create visibility where
it was lacking and enable individual
career paths. We launched the
Accelerator Alumni program, which is
run by past Accelerators and keeps
this community connected.
