From Our Interim CEO
Mindful (MERG) is CSAA’s newest
employee resource group. Supporting
mental health awareness, it launched
in response to the mental health
impacts of the pandemic. MERG
partners with our well-being and
benefits teams to spotlight the
resources and support available
to employees. Key engagements
included Mental Health Awareness
Month, PTSD-awareness-in-theworkplace partnership with our
military appreciation group, and a
panel dialogue about mental health
stigmas across communities.
¡Somos Unidos! continued its work
helping CSAA attract and retain
diverse customers by growing the
bilingual agent training program
and providing timely updates to key
stakeholders and the business in
support of the best customer and
employee experience for Spanish
speakers and marketing efforts. It
held weekly events during Hispanic
Heritage Month with internal thought
leaders, panel discussion and
volunteering to support the Hispanic
Heritage Society.
Pan Asian Connection (PAC)
delivered educational and awareness
opportunities throughout the year.
During Asian American and Pacific
Islander (AAPI) Month, PAC hosted a
panel titled “My Asian/Pacific Islander
Experience in the United States,”
providing space for five speakers
to share their perspectives and
experiences with the organization.
The Black Employees Association
(BEA) hosted a variety of events and
cross-collaborated with our MERG
and Sustainable CSAA employee
resource groups. For Black History
Month, BEA held a volunteer event
supporting the Raphael House and
partnered with the Museum of the
African Diaspora (MoAD) for The
New Black Vanguard: Photography
between Art and Fashion. BEA’s
ongoing Bridging the Gap series
continued to feature an array of
guests sharing their professional
development journeys.
