• To advance equity and inclusion,
we conducted training sessions for
our people leaders. These sessions
included guided discussions on
CSAA's eight inclusion behaviors,
with a focus on systemic inclusion.

incorporated into all processes and
decision-making mechanisms.

What was new in ’23?
• To help ensure representation

explores how factors, relationships,
and interconnections achieve a
desired outcome. It’s valuable in
identifying and analyzing the
root causes of systemic inequities
and developing strategies to
address them.
• To mitigate potential bias in annual
performance reviews, we piloted
an artificial intelligence (AI) tool
to provide real-time coaching
to people leaders while writing
performance reviews.
• To verify we have put in place
pertinent corporate policies and
practices for our LGBTQ+ employees,
CSAA again achieved a score of 100
on the Human Rights Campaign’s
Corporate Equality Index.
• To boost our impact in our
communities, 45% of CSAA
employees participated in volunteer
opportunities in 2023 versus
37% the prior year, with close to
400 more employees serving our
communities. Our employees also
supported causes more through
donations in 2023, with 32%
donating out of pocket or volunteer
rewards to nonprofits compared to
21% the year prior.
» We intentionally focused
on improving our pro bono
programming and participation
throughout 2023 by coordinating
with the Leadership Development
team to embed pro bono
programming opportunities.
» We increased pro bono volunteers
and nonprofit participants by 200%
year over year with 86 employees
supporting 21 nonprofits with 771
hours of volunteerism and $150K
in-kind value.
› 97% of our nonprofit partners
said the program met or
exceeded their goals.
› 100% of participants said the
quality of the deliverables they
received were good or excellent.
› 97% deepened existing
relationships with colleagues
and felt they were able to make
a meaningful contribution to the
nonprofits they supported.
