Palace - the aftermath
A short observation on the aftermath of Palace
thrashing Manchester City 1 - 0.
As you can see from the picture, the victory was
celebrated long and hard, and even included one of the
respected Village Elders still wearing the Palace flag
three days after the match. Clearly feeling 'Glad All
Over'!
There was an open top bus parade on Bank Holiday
Monday which we have never experienced before, and
there has been a run on silver polish in the Norwood
area because we have never had the FA cup to clean.
Happy Days!!
Letter from Gloria
I just had to write and say how much Peter and I are enjoying the CH
Newsletter.
You are doing such a sterling job, and the articles are so interesting. We9re
learning so much about our wonderful village!
The article by Philip Ashley (Letter to America) had us in stitches. It
reminded us of the time our daughter, Corrie, her husband, James, and
their young son Arthur, were moving to Los Angeles for two years, due to
our son-in-law9s work.
I took it upon myself to write a note to my grandson to ensure he remained
very British.
I thought you may like to read it (see attached).
Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Gloria
