ARTICLES FOR APRILThe Royal Oak is Back!!Hello Everyone, We Have Missed YouBy the time you are reading this we should be fully open for dining, drinkingand lots of laughing as we welcome you back to your wonderful local. Thebuilders and all the tradesmen have done an amazing job. Weather wasnot always their friend, but they persevered and their achievements arehere for all to see. We would like say a massive 8thank you9 to ourneighbours for bearing with us, and to anyone else that experienceddisruption throughout that time. We will be open Thursdays until Sundaysas before, and we plan to add Wednesdays to our trading days from June.We trust that our opening weekend was a great success with birthdaydinners, friends meeting for drinks and, of course, Mother9s Day. The newowners have invested heavily in revamping The Royal Oak. We have abrand new and larger kitchen, a walk-in cold room, fully revamped toiletswith disabled facilities, and a full 3-phase electrical upgrade. Fully redecorated throughout, we hope you love the new décor as much as we do.We would now like to ask that you all visit us regularly. Come for a drinkonce a week and a meal once a month. Or more often! It will be awonderful way to support The Royal Oak and ensure its longevity. We knowmany of you already do this and we massively thank you! For those of youwho don9t, please do! It is essential that wedo whatever we can to protect and support them.Circumstances have not been easy for small parish churches such as ourown, but nevertheless we have continued to nurture and support our localcommunity.We have come through two years of the pandemic followed by two yearsof vacancy without a vicar.
