he Beller Vineyard, spanning 17.1
acres, graces a hilltop peninsula
that extends northward from the primary
slopes of Mount Veeder. Owned by Ron
Beller, this vineyard has been an integral
part of the Mount Veeder bottlings for
numerous years. The vineyard comprises eight
distinct blocks primarily planted with Cabernet
Sauvignon, with small proportions of Merlot,
Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.

While the vineyard’s elevation largely keeps it above
the fog, its southern proximity to the San Pablo Bay
introduces cool maritime breezes that delay ripening.
This extended hangtime contributes to the profound
dark fruit and deep texture characteristic of the wines.
The vineyard’s aspect and open exposure, atop a hilltop
peninsula, limit the shading from the deep forests which
is often encountered on Mount Veeder, resulting in dense
fruit flavors reflective of ample sun exposure.
