Scottish Pipe Band Championships
Lynsy Ogg, Purchase Ledger Assistant
Lynsy, who is based at our Head Office in
Aberdeen, took part in the annual Scottish Pipe
Band Championships in Dumbarton on 27
July. This is the first time Lynsy has attended
the competition with the Buchan Peterson
Development Pipe Band as Lead Tenor at Grade 3a.
Lynsy is going into her 4th year as a Lead Tenor
drummer, including her previous Grade 2 band.
She has previously competed for 12 years at Grade
2 but has played in pipe bands for over 23 years.
The band practices every Tuesday evening and one
Sunday each month, increasing to every second
Sunday when closer to the start of the competing
season.
The band placed 12th overall out of 20 bands, and
received 7th place for the drum corps. Well done
Lynsy!

CECA Golf Day - August 2024
The annual CECA Scotland golf outing took place on 29 August
2024 at Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society in Edinburgh. Sixty golfers
participated in the day and played in breezy, but dry, conditions.
Playing in the Leiths (Scotland) Ltd team were Robert Bremner, CES Operations Manager;
Graeme McInnes, Operations Manager for Lawrie Demolition; Scott Reid, Surfacing
Contracts Manager, and their guest, Barry Gibb from KCA Construction.

Robert, a keen golfer was Nearest the Pin at the 10th – Well done Robert!.
The winner of the competition was Fraser, Age 14

Once again we have seen
some extremely creative and
imaginative designs which
made this an extremely difficult
decision for the judges to choose.
