WOOD SPECIES
Beautiful Trailway tables, chairs
and hutches begin with natural raw
materials. We use some of the
finest
hardwoods,
harvested
through
sustainable
forestry
management principles, to create
our heirloom quality furniture.
Some wood species, such as
cherry and elm, boast rich, dark
tones that imply elegance and
sophistication,
while
others,
including hickory and maple,
feature naturally lighter shades for
more casual table designs.
Character woods highlight the
natural markings that give each
piece unique beauty, and many
species feature distinctive wood
grains. The species of wood we
use to create our furniture helps
determine the overall style and feel
of finished pieces.
