A Safe Place
FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER
S
ince 2013, under the leadership of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, A Safe Place
Family Justice Center has helped individuals and families by providing support and safety
planning for anyone experiencing family violence, sexual violence, stalking, human
trafficking, or abuse against older adults and people with disabilities.
This unique partnership between public and private agencies provides a variety of critical
services under one roof — including safety planning, counseling, support groups, legal support,
law-enforcement support, advocacy, culturally-specific services, and much more.
The one-stop, drop-in model makes it easy for participants to have immediate access to a wide
range of services on site. Survivors are able to select the services of their choice, and then partner
agencies coordinate a response to help increase a survivor’s safety.
To date, A Safe Place has provided advocacy and support to over 5,000 individuals seeking
services for the first time, and over 28,000 people have visited A Safe Place to access services.
A Safe Place is located at 256 Warner-Milne Rd. in Oregon City. In-person services —
including walk-ins, protective orders and video court — are available Monday-Thursday from
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services are also available by phone at 503-655-8600, and confidential advocates are available
24/7 at 503-654-2288. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call or text 911.
