Employment as a Law
Enforcement Officer”

OAR 259-008-0010.
These standards include:
• U.S. citizenship (or in the

citizenship at time of hire)
• At least 21 years old
• High-school diploma
or GED certificate of
high-school equivalency
• Acceptable driving
record
• Ability to obtain valid

above for each section) prior to the recruitment close date.
Patrol applicants must successfully complete the Oregon Physical Abilities Test (ORPAT) prior to the

$88,193 annually
