MANNINGTREE LIFE
A new community with a
beating heart
Plans to build a high-quality farm shop and café at Manningtree Park
have been given the green light by Essex County Council.
This village-style community hub includes The Little
Priory Farm Shop & Cafe, located by the public village
green. It offers locally sourced products, fresh food
and serves a wide range of delicious coffees, lunches,
and teas. There will also be an on-site cycle shop to
encourage sustainable transport.
Designed with its own individual character, this exciting
new amenity has been thoughtfully designed by
City & Country’s in-house specialists to reflect the
beautiful Victorian architecture of the rest of the
development.
An extension which will house indoor seating for
The Little Priory Farm Shop & Cafe – the orangery –
is inspired by a simple garden pavilion which will
benefit from large glass doors opening onto the
surrounding garden square.
Set for completion in 2025, the area will also
include a natural play park and separate area
for dog walking.

Simon Vernon-Harcourt, Design and Planning
Director said: "As one of our flagship developments
in Essex, the approval of this multi-purpose facility
has been a fantastic milestone for us, and a great
opportunity to enhance what we, as a developer, can
offer our residents in the future. I have no doubt that
the Hub will play a crucial role in the lives of these
residents for many years to come as it will become a
central part of this community.
William Grinsted, Director of
St Osyth Priory and The Little Priory
Farm Shop & Cafe at Manningtree
Park will shape a vital community
space that serves as a focal point
for residents to gather together.
"St Osyth Priory will operate The Little Priory Farm Shop
& Cafe, stocked with its produce, offering convenient
'take-away' meals with fresh ingredients sourced from
St Osyth's. For those with busy schedules or returning
from work, simply heat it up.
