MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE
Membership Structure
The Latinos In Transit ERG Membership Structure is designed to provide support to
ERGs in public transportation agencies, ensuring they meet compliance
standards, programming goals, and financial sustainability. The membership
structure offers two levels of engagement, each providing distinct benefits and
requirements for ERG groups.
Level 1: LIT Endorsed ERG
Annual Dues: $1,500
If the company, agency, or organization is an active LIT member: ERG Level 1
member dues are $250.
This level is ideal for ERGs starting out within their respective agencies. Benefits
include:
Participation in LIT ERG programming** and the ability to designate active
ERG members as LIT members, providing them with member discounts
and benefits for up to 25 ERG members.
Endorsement seal for use in ERG branding and materials (not the "Latinos
In Transit" name).
Programmatic and topic support from LIT for ERG meetings.
Requirements:
1. Apply for endorsement from LIT.
2. Submit a name, mission statement, bylaws, and strategic plan for
approval.
3. Agency must hold liability insurance that covers ERG programming.
4. Submit a yearly plan of activities, goals, objectives, and an annual
budget by January 15.
5. Submit an end-of-year report detailing activities, measures, and
finances.
6. Receive approval for formation from the organizational agency.
7. Be responsible for annual dues and fundraising efforts.
8. Ensure ERG representation at the annual Leadership Summit.
9. Implement ERG programming and meetings.
