CELEBRATING OUR
FIRST FIVE YEARS!
The 2022-2023 school year marked Chapter One9s first
five years of delivering our online reading volunteer
programme to children across the UK. In June, we
invited our corporate partners and their teams of
Chapter One volunteers to join us for a special event to
say thank you for their incredible support to enable us
to improve the literacy skills and life chances of over
5,500 children.
We heard from some children about how they love
Chapter One reading and presented well-deserved
awards to both individuals and our corporate partners.
Alongside our new Chapter One video for
schools, we produced a video for current
and prospective corporate partners and

It has been fantastic working with Chapter
One ... Not only have our volunteers
developed transferable skills and
increased confidence themselves, but we
have seen a measurable difference in the
young people we have been supporting.
The virtual nature of the programme
enables our project teams to log on from
wherever they are based in the UK.
