including interview clothes, bus
passes, tools and certification
fees, among other specific
needs. We also count with help
from partners and volunteers
(South Florida Workforce, Jewish
Community Services, Suited for
Success) to provide assistance
with resume writing, interview
skill techniques, and start-up
materials. We help every eligible
adult become work-force
ready by providing training for
life skills, adult education, and
vocational training programs
in culinary arts, environmental
services, security and other
career fields (with the help of
Miami-Dade County Public
Schools). Chapman Partnership
has built trusted relationships
with more than 280 local
employers and employment
agencies who are committed
to giving opportunities to our
residents.
Case
Management
Upon arrival at Chapman
Partnership, each resident
is assigned a case manager,
within the first 72 hours, for
comprehensive assessment
and evaluation. This initial
assessment helps identify
barriers to housing stability
and aids in the formation of a
mutually-agreed-upon plan
of action and set of goals for
the resident. The goal of the
case manager is to ensure
the successful transition
to self-sufficiency during a
resident’s stay and then up
to one-year after they’ve left
the shelter. Based on the
plan of action, case manager

Housing
Placement
Permanent housing is one
step toward a stable and
self-sufficient life. We assist
our residents with everything
from housing applications,
utility and security deposits to
providing furniture, appliances,
and move-in supplies. In cases
where our residents have

Vehicles), income supports
(Social Security, food stamps,
TANF, veteran’s benefits),
NA and AA support groups,
budget planning and financial
education, family enrichment
and parenting classes, and
