NEVIS Mask Sizing Instructions
WORK PLACE PROTECTION FACTORS What is a protection factor?
Use any convenient measuring tool to
measure the distance from the bridge
of your nose to the tip of your chin.
Nominal Protection Factor: The minimal level of protection that the equipment has
to demonstrate under laboratory test conditions when tested in accordance with
the European Norm.
Do not follow the contour of the
nose as this will give you incorrect
measurements.
Assigned Protection Factor: The level of respiratory protection that can be
expected to be achieved in the workplace by 95% of adequately trained and
supervised wearers using a properly functioning and correctly 昀椀tted respiratory
device.n (More information on Assigned Protection Factors is detailed in EN
529:2005 Respiratory Protective Devices – Recommendations for selection, use,
care and maintenance – Guidance document).
Plot your measurements on the graph
below to 昀椀nd the best mask 昀椀t.
