ANSWERS
1. The utensils made of gold are considered extremely holy. Therefore, their
weight was not specified, as it would be undignified. The silver and copper
utensils were not as holy. It was not undignified to list their weights.
2. Bnei Yisrael remember that the holy names of their forefathers and the names
of the twelve tribes are on the Shoham stones of the Ephod. This prevents them
from sinning, similar to Yosef when he declined to sin with the wife of Potiphar.
3. One answer is that Bnei Yisrael never wanted to finish working for Hashem to
improve the Mishkan. It was only because Hashem told them they were finished
that they stopped. Another answer is that some labors were miraculously done
on their own. As these miraculous events stopped, Bnei Yisrael realized the work
