Flush with dollars from Jacksonville
In the fall of 2019, protesters marched from
Venice’s City Hall to the accounting oce of
Robinson Gruters chanting “No Dark Money”.
They were protesting a barrage of mailers
funded by a Tallahassee PAC, Sunshine State
Freedom Fund.
Eric Robinson said he had nothing to do with
the mailers. Mike Shlasko, campaign manager
for Ron Feinsod, said he could trace a
contribution to Sunshine State Freedom Fund
through several PACs that originated with
Conservative Solutions for Jacksonville, one of
the PACs Robinson administers.
It’s not the first time voters in Florida have been
stymied by mailers for local elections that were
funded by donors in other Florida counties.
