The mystery donor here is Greenpoint
Investors, LLC. Greenpoint gave $66,000 to
Veterans for Conservative Principles.
Greenpoint Investors listed 200 S. Orange
Avenue in Sarasota as their address in
donation information provided to the state.
This is address belongs to the Williams Parker
law firm, home to attorneys who represent local
developers.
When David Ramba, treasurer for Veterans for
Conservative Principles, was queried about
potential donors behind Greenpoint Investors,
he told the press “You’re not even close”.
Ramba refused to identify who was responsible
for the funding via Greenpoint.
There was no Greenpoint Investors LLC
registered at 200 S. Orange Avenue doing
business in the state of Florida. There is a
Greenpoint Investors, LLC registered in
Delaware. Delaware law permits LLCs to
incorporate anonymously.
