homeowner insurance, environmental
degradation, aûordable housing, rising
temperature and seas, and a public education
system which has been positioned to be a cash
cow for corporate charter schools. There are
plenty of problems. Window dressing wonÕt
solve them. Public oûcials who are in the
pockets of local special interests arenÕt going
to solve them. We need real leadership, and
real leaders donÕt always have big campaign
accounts. (
