Afterword
In February 2020, I was giving a talk at a local
club about dark money and the need for
engagement in state and local political races.
The room was full. It was one of the last
gatherings of its kind that I attended before the
COVID 19 pandemic hit.
After seeing all the PAC money inßuencing
local races, a friend came up to me and
thanked me for the information and said ÒWe
need to Þnd someone to run against Eric
Robinson!Ó She wanted me to help. I thanked
her and told her ÒI just did my job. Now you all
need to do yours!Ó She understood.(
Creating good government is a team sport. We
all have a role to play. (

A great candidate challenged Mr. Robinson.
Tom Edwards won with far less money. He
won due to EdwardsÕ strength and community
