Advocating favourable policies and
practices remains ACAAI’s top priority
During a recent interaction, C K Govil,
President of the Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) and Managing Director, Activair Airfreight
India, provided UPAMANYU BORAH with
insights into the association’s strategic
focus for the year ahead, particularly
in light of the 48th ACAAI convention
scheduled from 05-08 December in Baku,
Azerbaijan. Govil revealed that while
session details are still being finalised,
the convention will feature targeted
workshops and discussions designed to
deliver actionable insights. On the context of the convention’s theme, “Wings
of Innovation: Charting New Paths in
Logistics”, Govil says it underscores the
industry’s shift towards advanced technologies, alongside sustainable practices.
Notable advancements under his leadership include introduction of a member
portal, enhanced virtual engagement, and
a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Govil highlighted ACAAI’s commitment
to addressing industry challenges, including regulatory compliance, skill
shortages, and infrastructure needs. In
short, ACAAI’s strategic focus on effective governance, operational efficiency,
and continuous skill development aims
to ensure the association’s growth and
the industry’s progression.

sessions so that the participants leave the
convention with key, actionable takeaways.

Could you elaborate on the choice of the
theme “Wings of Innovation: Charting New
Paths in Logistics”? How do you anticipate
the industry landscape evolving from
traditional practices to more technologically
advanced and digital approaches?
This theme was the obvious choice since
innovation is constantly on our minds.
Creativity is essential for progress and
breakthroughs, and we are witnessing
many innovative initiatives being taken in
the air cargo industry.
