Ali Türk to lead Turkish Airlines’
Cargo
Business
The Board of Directors at Turkish Airlines has officially
announced the appointment of Ali Türk as the new
Chief Cargo Officer, succeeding Turhan Özen who has
held the position since October 2016.
Ali Türk joined Turkish Airlines in 2011 as Vice
President– Cargo Operations, and in 2012, went on to
become Senior Vice President, Turkish Cargo. Since
March 2017, Türk has been serving as the Executive
Vice President of Supply Chain Management at
telecommunication and technology services provider, Turkcell.
KSH Logistics appoints Vinay Patil as
VP– Business Development
Frank Dobbelsteijn joins Swissport
as Global Head of Operations
KSH Logistics has
announced the
appointment of Vinay
Patil as the new Vice
President for
Business Development. With nearly two
decades of expertise
in business development and a wellestablished history of success within the
logistics sector, KSH envisions that Patil’s
role will be pivotal in steering strategic
growth initiatives, cultivating vital partnerships, and amplifying market footprint.
Patil, most recently, served as the Director of
Enterprise Solutions (Business Development) at Delhivery, where his contributions
significantly propelled the company’s growth
and expanded its presence. Prior to his
tenure at Delhivery, Vinay held pivotal roles
at 20Cube Logistics, where he drove both
profitability and sustainability throughout
the business.
Swissport has
appointed Frank
Dobbelsteijn as Global
Head of Operations,
as of January 01. In
this new capacity,
Frank will be
responsible for
aligning the
company’s operational priorities with its overall strategic
goals, ensuring consistent service delivery
and safe operations.
Frank boasts over 30 years of experience in
several senior roles in the aviation and
logistics sectors in Europe and the US. Prior
to joining Swissport, Frank served as VP for
four and a half years overseeing Heathrow
operation of Menzies Aviation. He also
previously served the company as VP– US
West Coast and Los Angeles, Start-Up
Project Manager – Europe and General
Manager– Low-Cost Division – Amsterdam.
Before that, Frank worked as Senior Station
Manager at Amazon in Los Angeles.
Dr. Tobias Burger now COO– Air &
Sea Logistics at DACHSER
Dr Tobias Burger has
been appointed as
the new Chief
Operations Officer–
Air & Sea Logistics
and a member of the
Executive Board at
DACHSER, effective
January 01, 2024. He
succeeds Edoardo
Podestà, who recently retired after more
than 20 years with DACHSER. In his new role,
Dr Burger’s primary objective is to foster
expansion of DACHSER in global markets.
Beginning his career as a strategy consultant at Siemens Management Consulting,
Burger joined Dachser in 2009. His journey
within the company includes roles in
controlling and strategy development, with
subsequent responsibilities in Corporate
Governance. Burger was appointed Deputy
Director– Air & Sea Logistics in 2019. In
2021 and 2022, Dr Burger successfully led
the operations of the ASL EMEA business
unit as Managing Director.

Uday Sharma new CCO of Gati
Express and Supply Chain
Uday Sharma has
been appointed as
the Chief Commercial
Officer of Gati Express
and Supply Chain, a
major subsidiary
Allcargo Gati
(formerly Gati). In his
new position, Uday
will be in charge of
creating business and marketing strategies,
implementing strategies to increase
revenue, and spearheading the creation of a
strong branding plan for the company.
Uday has over 20 years of cross-functional
experience in business development,
organisational turnaround, franchise
development, strategic planning, large
enterprise value selling, and complex deal
management. He was Head of Sales at
Delhivery before joining the company.
He has also held important roles at Spoton
Logistics, Safexpress, Aramex, and
Elbee India.
Qatar Airways names Mark Drusch as
Chief Cargo Officer
Qatar Airways Cargo
has appointed Mark
Drusch as its Chief
Officer– Cargo,
effective immediately. He fills the role
vacated by Guillaume
Halleux, who is now
the Chief Commercial
Officer at Swissport.
With over 25 years in senior airline management roles, Mark is a well-known figure in the
aviation world. His most recent role was
SVP– Revenue Management, Alliances and
Strategy at Qatar Airways where he led the
development and implementation of the
carrier’s revenue strategy as well as managing
strategic alliances with key partner airlines.
Prior to that, Mark spent 20 years at Delta Air
Lines, Continental Airlines and Lufthansa
LSG Sky Chefs as Senior Vice President.
Jothi Menon becomes CEO and Board

(KRS) has named
Jothi Menon as its
Chief Executive
Officer and Member
of the Board. In this
role, Jothi will be
responsible for
formulating strategic
planning, driving
operational efficiency as the company looks
to expand into the fast-growing express
cargo segment through new-age technology
adoption, process improvements and
building stronger customer engagement.
Jothi is a Co-founder of Spoton Logistics and
played a significant role in its growth and
fundraising efforts, before it was acquired by
Delhivery in 2022. Prior to Spoton, Jothi, held
leadership roles at IBM, Accenture, and AOL
DB Schenker promotes Vishal Sharma
as CEO for Asia Pacific
DB Schenker has
elevated Vishal
Sharma to the post of
Chief Executive
Officer for Asia
Pacific. He replaces
Niklas Wilmking, who
was recently
appointed to the
Global Board of
Management for Contract Logistics and
Supply Chain Management.
Vishal brings more than 30 years of experience
in the logistics sector and has been serving
as CEO for DB Schenker’s Cluster Greater
China since 2021. He joined DB Schenker in
2018 as the CEO of the Indian subcontinent
cluster. Prior to joining DB Schenker, Vishal
held various executive leadership positions in
several forwarding companies in the US,
Singapore, India and Denmark.
