SUPER WOMEN IN SUPPLY CHAIN
Every woman
possesses unique
strengths that propels
her forward

Evolution of the ultimate
career goal
Starting my career as a Mechanical Engineer, I gained experience
in the production department of
an automotive company. During
my training, I focussed on tools
inventory management and got
acquainted with ERP systems,
which sparked my interest in
planning. This knowledge proved
crucial when I transitioned to
the raw material planning
department, marking my entry
into the supply chain field. A
significant turning point was
when I accepted the challenge
of revitalising the B2C concept
in aftermarket operations, an
assignment others had rejected.
This experience not only shaped
my career but also propelled
me into warehouse and freight
management.
Embracing Professionalism, Empathy, and Growth
I pride myself on maintaining
consistent professionalism in my
work, coupled with a strong sense
of empathy and a commitment
to granting autonomy to my subordinates. I believe in providing
them with ample opportunities
for growth and exposure, which,
in turn, has been instrumental in
propelling me to the next stage
of my career.
Missing Motherhood
Moments
In my view, female leaders often
make greater sacri昀椀ces than their
male counterparts in the industry.

Personally, I’ve faced numerous
instances of discrimination in a
predominantly male-dominated
environment, often sacri昀椀cing
my own comfort. Additionally,
I regret missing out on much
of my son’s childhood due to
demanding work hours and
family obligations.
Harnessing Unique
Abilities
In my perspective, every woman
possesses unique strengths that
propels her forward. As a woman,
I believe I excel in multitasking
and balancing various situations.
This skill has been instrumental
in my success in supply chain
management.
Guiding Principles
Courage and integrity have
always been the most compelling
traits. Growing up, I was deeply
inspired by the stories of Mata
Jijau and Veer Rani Laxmibai. The
way they forged their identities
during their time is not only
admirable but also continues to
inspire generations inde昀椀nitely.
Learning from Every
Experience
Failing to secure the team lead
position during an interview at a
young age was a signi昀椀cant wakeup call for me. It highlighted
the importance of continuous
learning. I realised the necessity
of 360-degree self-improvement,
including further education,
enhancing communication skills,
and developing my personality. As
a result, I made learning a hobby
Empowering women involves several key
practices. First and foremost, it’s crucial to
cultivate self-confidence, embracing the
mantra ‘You can do it’ and ‘You will do it.’ Additionally, prioritising self-care, both mentally
and physically, is essential for overall wellbeing. Furthermore, supporting the growth of
others not only benefits them but also fosters
personal growth. Nurturing and expanding
your network is another vital aspect.
and actively seek opportunities
to learn something new in every
situation, whether through onthe-job experiences or insights
from peers, managers, or even
subordinates.
Faith and Fortitude
My father once imparted a valuable lesson: “Only a brilliant
student can tackle a challenging
question paper. So, when life
presents di昀케culties, remember
that you are that capable student
of God. Rise up and give your best
e昀昀ort to overcome the situation.”
Inspiring Others
As a single mother, I see myself
as a trailblazer, proving that success is achievable in any field
with the right approach: hard
work, honesty, and dedication.
Despite facing gender stereotypes
and biases in a male-dominated
industry, I’ve overcome them
gracefully. Now, I’m grateful to
inspire others, especially women,
to pursue their dreams and support them along their career
journeys. True empowerment,
to me, lies in uplifting others.
