Batteries
Sonnen cobalt free batteries or equal approved.
Communications
Incorporate telephone services including data and communications where applicable.
A Public Address system is required for most public buildings and must cater for music broadcast as
well as for announcements within the building. It must also separately broadcast across the associated
external areas such as courtyard or sports field.
Power
All toilets are required to connect directly to main power service supply.
MECHANICAL SERVICES
Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems are to be separately zoned for regularly occupied rooms
with timed controls in each space.
GAS SERVICES
Use of permanent gas appliances should be avoided in all new buildings.
A reticulated gas connection is not required to a barbecue area associated with a building.
Gas bottles are acceptable for use in outdoor areas such as an outdoor barbecue area. The use and
storage of gas bottles is required to comply with current applicable regulations.
SECURITY
Incorporate an access and security system with a back-to-base capability.
Confirm requirements with Camden Council prior to commencing the design.
FIRE
The type and location of all fire hose reels are to be designed in accordance with current regulation.
The installation of a sprinkler system, fire hose reels, fire hydrants, and the like to be specifically designed
to each buildings circumstance.
