11.1 Introduction
A Parts Schedule is a list of items to be incorporated in a public building.
This is not a complete list of all of the elements of a public building, however incorporates items that
are important for Camden Council with relation to the suitability for each public building type. These
parts or items include the following:
- Fixtures
- Fittings
- Equipment
- Fixed Furniture
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
This document includes a set of standard requirements to be incorporated into the design and
construction of public buildings within the Camden LGA.
Any variations to the requirements set out in this document are to be approved by Camden Council
prior to incorporation in documentation for each building.
SCHEDULE CATEGORIES
The standard requirements within this document are applicable to a building that is associated with
a high and medium profile public building as categorised among Camden Councils built assets.
A higher profile building type can use parts from a lower profile building type Parts Schedule.
For instance, a high profile public building can use parts from a medium profile Parts Schedule.
However a medium profile public building cannot use items from a high profile Parts Schedule.
A very high profile public building can use the parts specified in the schedule for high or medium
profile public building, however other proposed items may also be considered by Camden Council
for these very high profile building types.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The Parts Schedule includes specific product selections.
Alternative substitutions of similar products may be proposed for incorporation in the public building
being designed that are equivalent in function, quality and the like.
Submit all technical information associated with each proposed alternative item to Camden Council
for approval prior to incorporation of the item in the design.
Install all materials and parts in accordance with manufacturers written specifications.
The objective of this document is to ensure that the building is suitable for long-term use by
all members of the public.
