10.1 Introduction
Construction Details show the preferred connection of construction materials to be incorporated in a
public building in the Camden LGA.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
This document includes a set of standard requirements to be incorporated into the design and
construction of public buildings within the Camden LGA.
Any variations to the requirements set out in this document are to be approved by Camden Council
prior to incorporation in documentation for each building.
APPLICATION
The construction details within this document are applicable to a building that is associated with a
high and medium profile public building as categorised among Camden Councils built assets.
A very high profile public building can use these construction details for a high or medium profile
public building, however other proposed construction details may also be considered by Camden
Council for these very high profile building types.
IMPORTANT NOTES
The objective of this document is to ensure that the building is suitable for long term use by
all members of the public.
10.2 Drawings
The following drawings describe a sample of typical construction details to be used for public buildings
in the Camden LGA and can be used as a starting point to document and construct a public building.
If requested for a public building being designed in the Camden LGA, typical construction details can
be obtained from Camden Council in .dwg format.
