DESCRIPTION OF SPACE
A space dedicated to the collection of waste generated from the use of the building.
To provide for the storage of all required appropriate enclosed bin receptacles.
To provide for access by users of the building to deliver waste to the space.
To provide for access by Camden Council to collect waste.
To be suitably enclosed to prevent access and harbourage of pests and vermin, polluted wastewater
runoff and unpleasant odour.
The area is either required to have a roof that covers the space to its full extent, or the floor surface
must fall to drain to the sewer
This uncovered or covered area can be, but is not required to be, attached to the main
building.
Locate near the Kitchen where most of the waste is generated for this building.
Locate adjacent a Minimum 3,000 mm wide, 12,500 mm long and 4,500 mm high clear Vehicle
Hardstand.
A minimum 1,600 mm wide direct access with smooth ground | floor surface finish is required to
access the Waste Collection space from the Vehicle Hardstand.
The Vehicle Hardstand and access areas may have multiple uses, so long as they are always
available to be accessed by a waste collection vehicle at the times that they visit.
