Camden Local Strategic Planning Statement

Camden Local Strategic Planning Statement (CLSPS) is a document which demonstrates how the
Camden LGA will meet the community's needs over the next 20 years. The CLSPS is made up of
four themes: Infrastructure and Collaboration, Liveability, Productivity, and Sustainability. These four
themes will be implemented through 21 local priorities.
CPBDM is a key document in delivering local priorities identified in the LSPS as it will guide decisions
and actions relating to public buildings.

Camden Community Strategic Plan
The Community Strategic Plan 2036 is the community’s plan for the Camden LGA. It establishes five
key directions.
The work undertaken in this design manual supports and advances the following directions:
− W1 Our community is welcoming and inclusive, everyone feels included and involved:
+ The CPBDM ensures an adequate, accessible and high quality built space is made available
across the Camden LGA.
− W2 Our community is healthy and active with access to open space, facilities and services that
support well being:
+ The CPBDM provides direction to ensure that public buildings are designed to enable positive long
-term health benefits across the Camden LGA.
+ The CPBDM sets minimum standards for built facilities which reflect community needs.
− W3 Our community has opportunities to design and build safe and inviting places for all to
enjoy:
+ The CPBDM sets design principles which will contribute to strong, cohesive, healthy and safe
communities.
− LB2 Our public spaces and places are vibrant and accessible:
+ The CPBDM ensures infrastructure and facilities are well planned, delivered and maintained to
create high quality urban and rural environments that meet our diverse needs and respond to our
climate.
