The Camden Public Building Design Manual (CPBDM) is one of
a suite of design documents prepared by Camden Council to
set guidelines for the development of existing and future public
buildings within the Camden Local Government Area (LGA).
The CPBDM provides design guidance to ensure that future
developments and upgraded buildings provide facilities that meet
the needs of the new and emerging communities of Camden.

Purpose
The purpose of the CPBDM is to provide
a set of design principles, guidelines and
requirements for the development of existing
and future public buildings in the Camden LGA.
This CPBDM details a baseline standard, which
will set an expectation of high quality, well
reasoned, and thoroughly considered design
for all existing or proposed public buildings
located within the Public Domain.
Scope
The CPBDM applies to all areas within the
Camden LGA. It provides detailed requirements
for public buildings and is intended to be
read in conjunction with the Camden Council
Development Control Plan and the Camden
Growth Centre Precincts Development Control
Plan.

Users
This manual is provided for internal and
external stakeholders as well as professionals
involved in the development, planning, design
and approval of buildings in the Public Domain
within the Camden Council LGA.
