Drainage Area & Transmission Easement
Design should include the following:
− Drainage areas & Transmission easements should be accessible to the public as far as possible without
compromising safety;
− A carefully considered path network should be designed to suit the stormwater cycle and function of the
drainage area; and
− Steps, platforms, bridges and access points should be provided to areas of interest to allow interaction
with the stormwater process where this is safe and desirable.
