Getting here - Superb rail links,
Coach - Regular coach services are
road networks and two airports mean every
base is covered for travel within Scotland,
the UK and beyond.
available from London, Edinburgh, Glasgow,
Aberdeen and Inverness. Local buses connect
the towns and villages throughout the
National Park, including dial-a-bus services
and minibus services. The Stagecoach
Aviemore Adventurer also provides a
regular bus service (with space for skis,
bikes and big bags!) through Glenmore
and up to Cairngorm Mountain.
Train - Getting to the Cairngorms by
rail is relaxing and convenient. Rail services
from across the UK offer great links and there
are 6 stations throughout the National Park;
trains between London and Inverness stop off
at either Kingussie or Aviemore, and Aberdeen
is the closest station to the east side of the Park.
Head to Dundee if your event is in the
Angus Glens.
Car - The route into the National Park from
the South of the UK is beautiful. The drive is
spectacular throughout the seasons, with the
colours of autumn getting a special mention.
Night Train -
Travel sustainably with
the Caledonian Sleeper and snooze your way
overnight in your own private room from London
to the Cairngorms. Offering a unique way to
travel with multiple stops serving the Cairngorms
including Aberdeen, Aviemore, Dalwhinnie and
Kingussie. Enjoy the glorious Scottish landscapes
and arrive in the Cairngorms ready to start your
adventure.
Bike - National Cycle Route 7 runs
from Glasgow to Inverness passing
through Aviemore. Cycle Route 7 is a
combination of on and off-road sections
and links up the communities of the
Aviemore and the Cairngorms area.
