Microsoft Authenticator App (MFA)
• To ensure that Bury College University Centre accounts are kept secure,
there is a requirement that staff and students have MFA enabled when
accessing Office 365 apps (student email, Teams, OneDrive, Office
online etc) and apps that use your Office 365 login (Canvas VLE, Grofar
and Planet eStream) outside of college.
• MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account which in addition
to your password, requires the use of an authenticator app on a mobile
phone.
• When you log in to your account on a college computer, you will be
prompted to set up your MFA account, please ensure you have the app
downloaded in preparation. You will need to follow the step by step
guide when logging in to set up the account. Your tutor can support you
if you are having trouble setting this up.
