Personal
Development
An important aspect of personal development is understanding one’s
place in the wider society. A key focus for Scholars’ Education Trust is
for our pupils, no matter what their ages, to have an awareness of
climate and sustainability issues. All of our Trust schools have
achieved, or are working towards, Green Flag status and with an
annual Trust Eco Student Conference it also allows children from
across our family of schools to share ideas and experiences.
In addition to environmental issues, BFS will encourage all pupils to get involved in
charity work and fundraising. As well as giving pupils a strong sense of engagement
in their local community, this also allows them to develop empathy for others and an
understanding that other people face different challenges in their lives.
BFS will also prepare pupils to move onto the next stages of their education with the
skills to thrive. Our strapline is “Education for a Changing World” and we will make full
use of the benefits of technology within the classroom and beyond.
