SAMA type general purpose red spirit 昀椀lled thermometers
The low temperature SAMA thermometers have always been speci昀椀ed with organic
昀椀lling. This range of ‘SAMA type’ spirit 昀椀lled thermometers were developed to satisfy
the preference for non-mercury 昀椀llings.

Laboratory thermometers
Other than CT55 and CT60, the SAMA numbers used are the codes for the equivalent
mercury thermometers and are for reference only.
Thermometers normally supplied with a non-roll end cap which has a ring to allow
the thermometer to be suspended. The thermometers are supplied as standard in
individual, resealable, telescopic tubes, boxed in pack of 10 thermometers. All
laboratory thermometers can be supplied with UKAS calibration certi昀椀cate or
statement of conformity on request.
