session will explore challenges faced, lessons
learned, and cooperation with community partners.

Academy / Budded Mattah Urban Agriculture.
Foster will provide an overview of the unique
urban agriculture operation on the south side
of Peoria and discuss how urban agriculture
with a capitalistic focus can be a vehicle to selfsustainability and the alleviation of poverty.

and Congressional Election Results Study Group
This class will look closely at

the 2024 Presidential election
results and the makeup of the new House of
Representatives and the new U.S. Senate. What
will it mean for Central Illinois and America? We
will also discuss how we can have civil discourse
moving forward and try to lessen the deep
political division in our country. Robust, respectful
dialogue and discussion is expected. Listening
open-mindedly to other viewpoints is required.

His Life and Theories (for Dummies)
Nearly everyone has heard of Albert Einstein.
But do you know his fascinating life story, and
do you understand his key contributions to
world history and science? Join Herb Kasube,
Associate Professor of Mathematics Emeritus of
Bradley University to learn more about the life of
Albert Einstein. While minimizing mathematical
formulas, Dr. Kasube will explore the history of
Einstein from his early life, including the key
in昀uential people he engaged with and the
revolutionary theories he developed, to his
worldwide recognition for transforming our
concept of the physical world and for changing
the course of science.

1. Margaret Sanger, Rebel Woman
Meet Margaret Sanger, birth control pioneer,
free speech advocate, author, and eugenicist.
In the early 1900s when birth control was taboo,
she urged women to reject their destiny of
large families, poor health, and early death. This
class will cover her early life and work and her
challenge to the Comstock Act, which prohibited
distributing birth control information through
the mail. We9ll also discuss her involvement in
the eugenics movement, which tarnished her
reputation as a game-changer for good.

devastating results of having either the good
worms or the bad worms wriggling under your
